At the beginning of the 2000s, feeding experiments with Immunovet were carried out on several rabbits of different breeds and ages, involving hundreds of animals in each case. In the case of day-old and post-weaning rabbits, the health status of the animals was primarily monitored, while in the case of feeding mother rabbits, the development of their offspring was monitored.
The diet of a group of day-old rabbits was supplemented with Immunovet for 10 weeks and compared with the results of a normal and a group consuming antibiotic feed. The most striking difference was during the selection: there were no deaths at all in the group receiving Immunovet, even though this is one of the most stressful times for the animals. In comparison, 8.99% of the animals in the control group died at that time, and death was also observed among the rabbits that consumed the antibiotic. In addition to the effect on health protection, it was described that Immunovet also had a positive effect on the weight gain of the animals.
Results consistent with the above were obtained in another study, where the rabbits were fed Immunovet from the time of selection (from 35 days of age), for a total of about one month. During the experiment, the group receiving Immunovet had 3.6% fewer deaths compared to the control (11.7% in the former, 15.3% in the latter), and their live weight was 4.5% higher than that of the control group. . During the feeding of mother rabbits and their offspring, it was found that the offspring of the mother rabbits of the Immunovet group weighed 5.5% more than the rabbits of the mothers that did not receive supplements.
The results of the experiments unanimously show that Immunovet has a positive effect on the health of the rabbits, thereby helping them to get through stressful periods of life without getting sick, and also has a beneficial effect on their weight gain.
